What is Chakra Balancing?

The work chakra is sanskrit for “spinning wheel” – today termed as “wheel of light” and signifies one of the seven major energy centers in the body. Each energy center has its own living pulse.

Chakras are associated with our physical, mental, and emotional states. The entire body and its functions are connected to our chakras by the nerves which generate out from them and by the endocrine glands associated with them. When energy does not flow freely from the chakras the body does not function properly.

Each of the seven major chakras has individual functions and purposes and is represented by their own individual color. It is not unusual for chakras to move and interact with one another to display a brilliant colourful imagery that might remind you of peering through a kaleidoscope.

The key is to have all 7 chakras in balance.

When a stressed chakra is shutting down – a healthier chakra will often expand to compensate for the lowering of the whole energy system. However, expansion of one or more chakras for the sake of picking up the slack will eventually put strain on the body (systems) and illness and disease begins to manifest.
