“Give yourself permission to release anything in your body you no longer need.”

What is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced “ray-key”) meaning Universal Life Energy is a holistic natural way of bringing healing to the body, mind and spirit.

It is an ancient Japanese healing art form.

In its simplest form Reiki helps people to release stress and tensions.

Reiki energy travels to wherever it is needed most in the body.

The more open a person is to receiving the Reiki energy the deeper and more affective the treatment will be.

Reiki treatments are extremely relaxing. The flow of energy can be felt in various ways. Most people report feeling heat from the therapist’s hands, or a tingling or cooling energy where the healing hands are placed – usually where a blockage is being cleared.

People may also pick up on colors, gain deeper personal understanding, recall memories, or experience a spontaneous emotional release from an area which has been blocked. Some people don’t feel any physical sensation at all but describe mental or emotional changes such as a sense of calmness or peace.

Most often Reiki is experienced as a lovely heat which reaches deep inside the body. Treatments not only help to resolve physical or emotional issues – Reiki helps to heal the “source” of the problem.

Reiki treatments have helped in the healing of many maladies including migraine headaches, arthritis, problems with circulation, muscle and joint discomfort, sleep disorders, chronic pain, and deep-rooted emotional problems such as anxiety and depression.

Useful info and health tips

The client is usually seated in a chair or laying fully clothed on a massage table during the treatment. The Reiki practitioner’s hands are placed lightly on or above different areas (energy centers) of the body to allow energy to flow – channelling healing energy to the client.

By rejuvenating and restoring the natural flow of energy in the body and by keeping the body’s energy centers aligned and balanced a person will be more successful at combating stress, relieving short term discomforts, and helping the body to heal itself both emotionally and physically preventing more serious long-term illnesses.
